ABOUT PEPPERDINE'S
REELSTORIES FILM FESTIVAL

The ReelStories Film Festival is an annual celebration of student filmmaking and creative talent. Founded in 2010 by a group of students with a shared belief in the power of storytelling, this vibrant event offers fellow undergraduate filmmakers the opportunity to showcase impactful stories and convey powerful messages through the captivating art of short films.

This year,  we aim to celebrate and honor those behind the lens - the unsung creators, the unseen storytellers whose commitment makes every frame memorable. The beauty of film, it’s more than just what you see on screen. Every masterpiece demands a team, a collective commitment to a vision, and a process fueled by time, dedication, and love. It’s an art that transforms us, brings us together, and creates worlds beyond our own. Films are our escape,  an escape crafted by a village of resilient, passionate creators. That said, we wanted this year’s festival to celebrate how powerful the process of filmmaking truly is.

We hope you enjoy ReelStories Film Festival 16!
